WSCGA Field Day & Trade Show and Introduction of New Product Design
About the Event
On Wednesday August 11, 2021, ACME Environmental participated in the annual Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association’s (WSCGA) Summer Field Day & Trade Show in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. This event was hosted by the Whittlesey Cranberry Company at their local marsh. The WSCGA hosted mini seminars, marsh tours, and a summer meeting throughout the day so that everyone had the opportunity to meet and learn about new and exciting improvements in the cranberry farming industry. It was great talking with all of the attendees and being able to introduce our new type of cranberry boom!
This event is always a great experience since we get to interact with cranberry farmers and talk about their needs and plans for harvest season, which begins in September and October. Containment booms play such a vital role in the cranberry farming industry, so we enjoy being able to talk with farmers face-to-face about their specific needs from our products.
New Product Design
This year, we have introduced a new design to our Cranberry Boom product line! We now offer cranberry boom with both flat and round foam floats! The round-float 4” x 4” Cranberry Corral boom allows for farmers to create containment areas in their marshes for long periods of time. The newly introduced flat-float 4” x 4” Cranberry Collector allows for farmers to sweep the tops of these ponds. This make it easier to pull their cranberries in the right direction using less effort. It’s lighter weight and just as customizable as any other boom ACME manufactures! It’s our goal at ACME to try and design and provide new and improved products to all of the industries we work with. Make sure to sign up for our email list to get updates on new products and upcoming events!
We know how important it is to have plenty of equipment on-hand when it’s time to harvest. The season is just around the corner so don’t wait to order yours! Visit our Cranberry Boom product page to learn more!
We’d like to give a special thank you to the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association for organizing this event and providing us with images from it! Learn more about the WSCGA and their events, here.
