CME Environmental’s Offshore Oil Spill Containment Boom category includes containment boom with larger floats and deeper barrier skirts. These are meant to be used in areas with more current, higher wave action, and deeper waters. These containment boom types can be used in large lakes, bays, harbors, and ocean environments. This category has containment boom with floats in 8″ diameter, 10″ diameter, and 12″ diameter.

Top cable is recommended when several hundred feet are deployed. A 3/8″ chain ballast is recommended when tidal flows or currents exist.
